My Jazz Story
I love jazz because... it's at the root of my musical appreciation. I was first exposed to jazz, thanks to my folks, at an early age, listening to Nat, and Dinah, and Billie, and Ella, and Sarah, and Louie, and Ellington and Basie.
The best show I ever attended was seeing and hearing Miles at Avery Fisher Hall, NYC in the early 90's.
My advice to new listeners keep an open mind to the many nuances of jazz... it is a another language unto itself.
