MORTEN KARGAARD SEPTET – A Classic Hybrid
The orchestra offers a harmoniously rich and new approach, in the fusion of classical and rhythmic music, and makes the two immediately different musical genres unite in a new
expression.
An orchestra that defies all attempts to associate a specific genre with it - challenging what classical music is and what it can accomplish. A music-consciousness stream in
changing structures, but with an inner calm and thoughtfulness. A fearless embrace of the new and unusual, as well as a deep understanding of the past. The compositions are
influenced by the Scandinavian open landscape and beauty, where thoughts can fall on the paintings of P.S. Krøyer and the North Sea's strength and beauty.
All musicians are known for their performances from several different orchestras and genres - Copenhagen Phil, The Royal Chapel, DR Symphony Orchestra - Each with a
personal tone and open minded approach to new music.
The breadth of the music and its wide appeal, is evident from the many different locations the orchestra has held concerts at - ranging from Classical Festivals at home and
abroad, Music associations, as well as many churches.

The orchestra has released four CDs. The latest “Curious Traveler” published in December 2024.
The reviewers wrote:
"An extremely original CD for the music scene ..." –Kargaard is a master of creating musical colors "-" Nothing is missing, and anything added would be unnecessary. "
In the summer of 2017, a new album was released on the acclaimed classic German record label Animato. "The actual phenomenal of these compositions lies in Kargaard's ability
of ideal instrumentation, so much the individual voices merge into the overall sound." "Composed Inspiration" - Christiane Franke, Klassik.com - "Exactly this non-classifiability,
however, makes its strength. " CONCERTO (Austria)
