I love jazz because...it is my oxygen, I listen to it everyday, it's been my constant companion through good times and bad. It both soothes and inspires me.

I am fortunate enough to have been playing music for the last 35 years and have always had an open house policy. Every house I have lived in always has a garden, a good kitchen and many friends who play music. I lived in one house that was an old flour mill, it had such great acoustics that many of my friends recorded their albums in my living room. My idea of Heaven. For the past five years I have been presenting The Dinner Set every Friday night on www.abc.net.au/jazz - Look for "The Dinner Set with Monica Trapaga". I play all my favourite Jazz and include a lot of up and coming Australian Jazz.
