About Me
My Jazz Story
I like jazz, in its form and content as an international language, always in evolution with the time and in society.
I began studying music in 1994, and my first instrument was a jazz bass. Decades later, I'm still studying and playing jazz, attending concerts and artist masterclasses.
I love many artists from all the different jazz eras, but my heroes are still the upright bass players: Charles Mingus, Paul Chambers, Ron Carter, Scott LaFaro, etc.
The top big jazz players that I love are Charlie Parker, Monk, D. Gillespie, Coltrane, and the more recent P. Metheny, J. Zawinul, J. Pastorius, J. Scofield, and many others
My House Concert Story
I'm a multi-faceted, multi-instrumental musician who loves to further his knowledge of the languages and forms of all music. I have collaborated as a musician and arranger in the studio with various Italian bands and songwriters, and divide my time between playing live and in the studio as well as teaching bass guitar, double bass & composing original music - such as Earth Sound System - a new jazz-funk-fusion project based in the Bay Area, California.
