My Jazz Story
I was first exposed to Jazz in college. I enrolled in the college Jazz program and studied under Anthony Branker. It was such a thrill to see that unlike other kinds of music, Jazz allowed any member of the band to lead, which was especially thrilling for a drummer like myself. Since that time, influenced by Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers, it led me to form my own band and have enjoyed playing Jazz for so many years.
