Semi-retired writer, producer, director
I am a writer, editor, producer/director and blogger who has worked in publishing, education and media production for companies in the UK and Europe. In 2019 I wrote and published 101 Great Things About Japan and in 2018 I wrote The First 25 Years a celebration of the charity work of Watford Football Club. I managed the production of 100 Years at Vicarage Road to celebrate the club’s centenary contributed a number of matchday programme articles and produced a series of seven videos for a social media playlist and the big screen at games.
I am highly experienced as a writer of fiction and non-fiction and regularly check native language and grammatical accuracy for a number of Dutch publishers and regularly for course announcements for the Technical University at Delft. I am meticulous, accurate and passionate about quality and meeting deadlines. I have had fiction and poetry published in a number of outlets and am a trustee and meeting host for the British Bilingual Poetry Collective.
I co-founded a company Visible Jazz back in 1999 which recorded concerts with Andy Sheppard and Georgie Fame at London's Pizza Express Jazz Club. This led to a lifelong friendship with saxophonist Alan Skidmore whose website I manage and blog on alanskidmore.info. I regularly blog about travel and culture on mikeandmurakami.com.

I'm new to AAJ because of a referral from Ludovico Granvassu who is preparing a Dave Hoilland birthday tribute and wanted a contribution from my friend Alan Skidmore which I wrote with him.
