Michael H Finkel is a Pianist/Keyboard Player who has recorded or performed with; David Fathead Newman, Hank Mobley, Lee Greenwood, Michael Bolton, Grover Washington Jr., Delbert McClinton, Red Steagall, Brooks & Dunn, Richie McDonald (Lonestar), Marc Cohn, Elliott Randall, Captain & Camille, Eric Tagg & on the Kinnect Star Wars game songs including “I'm Han Solo”. He currently serves as the Artistic Director of the Dallas Jazz Piano Society. Michael scored the award winning film, 'Three Charlies” in 2024. Mike Finkel is a Composer/Arranger/Producer who has written and/or recorded music for; NBC Sports (1988 Orange Bowl Theme), Major League Baseball, CBS Sports, Pepsi, Frito Lay, Radio Shack, Hello India Calling & Our Scattered Dreams. Michael has been an educator for most of his music career. He has been co-chair for the Jazz Committee at WPPC and helped develop a curriculum for a joint MTNA/IAJE project. Mike ran the blog (Our Scattered Words) focused on Songwriting in 2013-14. He interviewed writers and composers on their process and influences.
