Puerto Rican born/New Orleans native, Michel Navedo was by age 21 an active member of the New Orleans music scene as singer and trumpeter. Since then Michel has acted as band leader/principal player in groups ranging in styles as diverse as Swing, Jazz, Latin Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Brazilian, Salsa, Flamenco and other World music, Hip Hop, Brass Band, Big Band, Symphonic, Indie, Pop, Rock, Dub, and Electronic. He has shared the stage with such diverse acts as Roy Hargrove, Perry Ferrell, Chucho Valdez, GWAR, Randy Newman, and De La Soul.
