About Me
My Jazz Story
Growing up in the 1960s, I constantly heard music played on guitars and watched countless television programs where practically EVERY performer either played guitar or had a guitarist performing alongside them. As guitar instructors were mostly teaching folk music at that time I began learning on my own and became a pretty good mediocre player. Then, in 1972, I heard Larry Coryell by way of his album Offering. After the first track on the album I knew I had to improve as a musician and decided I would learn how to play jazz. I began private study in Philadelphia and ultimately became a fulltime professional guitarist. Larry and I became good friends and performed together on many stages.
