My Jazz Story

I love jazz because it expresses life in the raw. I was first exposed to jazz as a kid because my parents listened to it. I started playing in high school when I met Rob Schneiderman, Peter Sprague and Tripp Sprague. Once you get jazz in your bloodstream it's there forever and it's wonderful. We all played together in the high school Jazz band and spent hours listening to the music of Freddy Hubbard, Joe Henderson, Miles, Trane, Sonny Rollins, Les McCann and Eddy Harris. There's an amazing wealth of music to discover.
