Mark Fenyves

Jazz guitarist, songwriter, teacher

About Me

I discovered jazz music after I finished High School. A saw an advertisement about a jazz education and I tried it because I didn't have plans for the future. That time I have started this exciting journey with many great teachers and amazing music. After I graduated in Kodolanyi Janos College I started teaching. Since then I have more than 90 officially listed songs. I have played in several bands, different styles (jazz, rock, pop) and have been on tour all over Europe in small clubs as well as in huge festivals. I have written songs for more than 10 albums and many of these songs are regularly played by the radios in Budapest.

With a Hungarian folk rock band (Jolly Jackers) I had more than 250 concerts in 14 countries over the last 7 years.

My jazz trio strarted in 2017. Our first EP is “Homecoming”. In 2019 we recorded our first full album with my songs. It is called “Don't Miss the Band”.

My Jazz Story

That time I have started this exciting journey with many great teachers and amazing music. After I graduated in Kodolanyi Janos College I strated teaching. I have written songs for more than 10 albums and many of these songs are regularly played by the radios in Budapest. About my Trio: The band was formed in 2017 and they play the guitarist Mark’s songs. They combine multiple genres and their music is interwoven with a sense of playfulness, but at the same time they could be described as vintage (retro) and they have something to offer for everyone. Their brand new album is Don’t Miss the Band.
