My Jazz Story
I am a classical singer turned jazz singer/songwriter. I live in
Eugene, Oregon. I was first exposed to jazz when I heard a Lena Horne
album. Her voice and energy were so exciting! I got my college
degrees in classical music for skills that it would give me, but I am
currently singing jazz exclusively.
My quintet is called Elegant M and we write and perform original jazz
songs. The writing process is exciting and fulfilling, the music-
making experience thrilling. We are currently polishing/performing
our first set of tunes: Elegant M Revealed.
