Luboš Soukup is a Czech-Danish saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer who is actively anchored across both the Czech and Danish music scenes, regularly performing and touring throughout Europe. A graduate of music academies in Prague, Katowice, and Copenhagen, he leads several acclaimed international projects—including the modern jazz formation Luboš Soukup Quartet, the synthesizer-driven Machina Mundi, the free-jazz Freetown Quartet, and the duo Levitas with German pianist Christian Pabst. His discography features ambitious releases such as the recent return-to-roots album Amber Rails (2026), the symphony orchestra suite Scandinavian Impressions (2024), and Země (2017) featuring guitar virtuoso Lionel Loueke. Alongside his intensive touring and recording schedule, Soukup passes on his experience as a saxophone and ensemble professor at the Academy of Performing Arts (HAMU) and the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague.
