With a professional career spanning over 50 years, Lloyd Hastings Ellis is a true jazz legend.

About Me

From his humble beginnings on a local radio station in Pensacola, Florida, Lloyd played his way through World War II, eventually making his way to Los Angeles, Phoenix, Las Vegas and New Orleans to play. During his career, he worked with George Liberace, Red Norvo, Pete Fountain,the Boston Pops, among many other notable musicians.

His television appearances include Austin City Limits, The Mike Douglas Show and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

Lloyd also recorded for Capital, Decca, Mercury, RCA, Carlton, Trey and Famous Door Records
