My Jazz Story

I Love Jazz for the communication, the expression of freedom, and making something in the moment which could move people to dance, to tears, to laughter. I was first exposed to jazz... at 9 years old. in Annapolis, MD. A Jazz trio in a downstairs basement of a bar. I never had seen an acoustic bass before. From then on it's been a love for music, beat and poetic vocals. Which is why I am a particularly huge fan of Kurt Elling, But my teachers were the Decca and Verve Collections of Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Dinah Washington, Helen Merrill, Anita O'Day.
