My Jazz Story

I love jazz because...it is elegant, relaxing and gives flexibility for expression and originality. I was first introduced to jazz watching old black and white movies. I absolutely fell in love with the Big Band style and took up swing dancing. I love singing the standards because so many people have special memories attached to them. Jazz offers my voice a musical freedom that other styles limit and I love being able to play off of the instrumentalists and create something new every performance.
