My advice to new listeners is to really listen. Listen in context - that is a very important word in not only jazz, but all music. Take the time to learn about the
composer, when they wrote the song and with whom, who is on the record, who influenced them and listen to a full album, not just the one track. Most of all,
have an open mind and enjoy.
