About Me
Kimberly Woods, also known as KAZ, is a Jazz vocalist and actress currently residing in New York City. Growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was first introduced to Jazz through the music of her Grandfather, Bill Woods, playing saxophone and clarinet around the valley. She quickly fell in love with the sounds of Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughn, Peggy Lee, and other artists of that era and has always been enamored with the Great American Song book. She is influenced by Diana Krall, Ann Hampton Calloway, Michael Buble, Harry Connick Jr. and others. Performing in Chicago, San Francisco, Salt Lake City and most recently Phoenix, she is thrilled to be in the Big Apple. KAZ works in duo with guitar or piano, with a trio, or full band.
