About Me

Ken is currently active in the Ottawa-Hull Canada region as a free- lance electric bass player and teacher. He has been a professional musician for well over thirty years, and a music educator for over 15 years. Ken has developed a deep-pocketed groove in his bass playing that took shape within a formal education in jazz, funk, rock, aftro-cuban, brazilian, and other odd-meter styles, but probably started when he first picked up the bass at the age of 13. Ken has many years of “real world” performance and music business experience, has directed numerous music programs, and produced many projects and musical groups. He has students of all ages, levels, and styles. Ken performs on, as well as teaches, 6-String electric bass, and is well versed in all styles and facets of music including reading, added to this is an extensive music education, and musical background.
