Exemplary jazz pianist

Keith Franklin is an exceptional and creative jazz pianist. He studied under notable musicians and educators Jackie Bayard in NYC, Olga Von Til of the Conservatory of Budapest, Kenny Barron and Dennis Sandole for composition and Phil Woods for improvisation at the Marnard Ferguson school of jazz. He earned a BA in performance from Rutgers University. He Toured across the US and opened for well-known acts such as Blood Sweat and Twars, Iron Butterfly, B.B. King, and the Youngbloods before returning to his jazz roots. He has performed at various jazz clubs in New York, Philly and New Jersey including the Rainbow Room, Supper Club, Philadelphia Art Museum, New Brunswick Jazz Project, Witherspoon Grill, Tomi Jazz, and Zimmerli Art Museum to name a few. Hi unique interpretation of jazz classics as well as Latin, Afro-Cuban, be-bop and swing standards always delivers an exciting, emotionally charged performance.
