My Jazz Story
I've been around jazz musicians for ages, but I started to appreciate jazz more seriously in the past few years. I read Miles Davis' autobiography a
couple of days ago. I've studied jazz history at least three times, but never ever had it so imprinted in my mind. It tells and reflects the history of
America from 1930-1980 in a very significant way. Like I truly know what happened, how each change was triggered, and who those people were.
After I finished, I felt like it did something to me that I couldn't pinpoint, but it changed my perspective of jazz.
