About Me

Karolis Šarkus is one of the young generation jazz musicians from Lithuania. National press already described him as a very promising music figure. Started from classical saxophone at the age of 6, Karolis now studies jazz and plays a variety of musical genres. He finished his bachelor studies in Amsterdam, studied in the USA for a while and now is seeking to get his master’s degree. Karolis has already performed in Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Italy, The Czech Republic, Switzerland and The Netherlands, also won some international competitions. He is a steady member of five bands of which one he co-leads. Karolis Šarkus is going to release his debut album as a leader in February 2020.
