I love jazz because I can feel the music in my soul. I want you to feel my soul in this new project. I was first exposed to jazz when I heard Nina Simone on the soundtrack for the great 90's movie, "Point of No Return" with Bridget Fonda. One particular song, "Wild is the Wind" grabbed my attention and opened my heart to a new genre of music I would search out from that point forward. Amazingly 20+ years later I would hear this song again and be inspired to create “Everything Must Change"—a Nina Simone tribute album. My music has become a ministry to others, with every song I write and perform, each one having a message of hope. What's the best advice I can give to the audience? Always support your local musicians!
