I love jazz because...it gives me the freedom to play with the music I was first exposed to jazz...by my Father when I was 4 I met [musician name]...Mel Torme, Tony Bennett,Bobby Doyle, Sandy Allen The best show I ever attended was...Mel Torme at Bass Hall The first jazz record I bought was...Ella Fitgerald..all of 'em My advice to new listeners...jazz is better "felt than telt" The best jazz is more about where the music is taken to and not where it came from
