About Me

I have been performing professionally as a pianist, keyboardist, acompanist, and pianist/vocalist in the New York area and overseas since 1979. I play all styles of jazz and have worked with several famous jazz musicians including Dexter Gordon, Flip Phillips, Eddie Henderson, Percy France, Tisziji Munoz, and Houston Person. I am well known as an accompanist for singers. In the past I have performed with such notable jazz vocalists as Carmen Lundy, Gale Winters, Vanessa Rubin, Arthur Prysock, and Rochelle Thompson. I have also backed many famous pop acts in concerts and in clubs. Some of the acts I have worked with include the Four Tops, the Drifters, The Platters, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Tiny Tim.

In addition to jazz, I also play and sing Latin music (salsa and merengue and other styles), pop music, R&B, and commerical dance music. I also sing in several others languages. I do many songs in Spanish and Italian and can also sing in Portuguese, Hebrew, Yiddish, French, and Russian. I have performed in Europe, the Carribean, Turkey, and Mexico. My most extended engagements lasting several months have been in Sweden and Mexico.

I currently perform every Friday and Saturday night from 7:30 PM--10:30 PM on keyboards and vocals at Mama Francesca's Restaurant at 414 Pelham Rd. in New Rochelle. I also host an Open Mic every Sunday from 2 PM--6 PM at Cleopatra's Needle at 2485 Broadway in Manhattan and every Wednesday night from 6 PM--10PM at Giovanni's Atriumat 100 Washington St. in lower Manhattan.
