2003 was full of exciting new songs, shows, venues, and recordings. The busy schedule included shows in Greenland, Iceland, and Acapulco. US dates included shows at Yale University and other venues in Block Island (RI), Vermont, New Jersey, East Hampton, and Palm Beach, FL, where I closed out the summer season headlining at the beautiful Colony Hotel. Local NYC shows included appearances at New York's famed and endangered Bottom Line, the King Kong Room, FEZ, Le Bar Bat, The Lighthouse, and the Water Club. Finally, the always entertaining Jim Caruso and I rang in 2004 with a New Year's Eve bash back at the Colony Hotel. In the midst of all this travel, the band and I have been hard at work in the studio recording our debut CD with producer, co-writer, and man-about-town, Richard Barone. Sessions at Westrax, IIWII, and Dubway studios have yielded a fulfilling process and an inspired product. One of the highlights of the sessions was the appearance of guest soloist Randy Brecker, who plays on three of the new tracks.
