Jim Mansfield

About Me

Jim Mansfield is a drummer, composer, and educator from New York whose credits include performances and tours in Asia, Europe, and North America with some of today's most creative artists including Ray Anderson, Martín Loyato, Charles Woodman's viDEO sAvant w/ DJ Odd Nosdam, Domingos Fialho, and as a member of David Gould's Bootleg Remedy and Inner Banks projects, among others. In addition to his appearances on over 40 recordings, Jim frequently performs on sessions for film and television. He is also a contributing composer to the artist/musician collective, Scurravagas, and co-leads the group Sad Android. Mr. Mansfield teaches music and percussion ensemble as an artist-in-residence at various schools in New York City. He also has instructed thousands of students for over 15 years in clinics, private lessons, and in band and music classes in public and private schools throughout New York City and Long Island.
