Jim Cifelli

About Me

Jim Cifelli has been active as a Trumpeter, composer and educator in New York City for 15 years. Jim holds degrees from New York University the Manhattan School of Music. His compositions and arrangements have been performed by numerous professional and student ensembles including the Stuttgart Radio Orchestra, The Composers Big Band, Clarion University and others. For the past six years Jim has composed for his own group: The New York Nonet. Jim has released three CD's with the Nonet: Bullet Trane (Short Notice Music), So You Say(A Records) and Tunnel Vision(Short Notice Music) He has also been active as an adjudicator and clinician and is the Director of Jazz Ensembles at the Trinity School in New York City.
