Jeremy Osterling

About Me
Jeremy Osterling, Saxophonist,
Composer/Arranger and Educator was born
in Cromwell, CT. At age 7, Jeremy decided
saxophone was the way to go. Since the
age of 12, Jeremy started performing and
traveling in community groups.
For the next 7 years, Jeremy traveled all
over the United States (Sacremento Jazz
Festival, Capitol Building in Washington
D.C., Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center,
and the New Orleans French Quarter
Festival) performing in big bands and
Traditional Jazz Quintets. Besides
performing, composition and arranging
caught Jeremy's eye at a young age. He
began to study composition and arranging
privately with Eric Osterling and Walter
Gwardyak at the age of 14.
Jeremy hightened his skills by attending the
Greater Hartford Academy for the Arts
(GHAA) for his last two years of high
school. Pursuing Music Education, Jeremy
attended Western Connecticut State
University and graduated with a Bachelor of
Science in Music Education. Jeremy received
his Masters in Arts Education focusing on
Multiple Intelligence theory from the
University of Saint Joseph. Jeremy is
licensed in the State of Connecticut and
currently teachers at the Renzulli Gifted and
Talented Academy in Hartford, CT.
