My Jazz Story
I love jazz because, my mother was a jazz singer in Harlem, in the 40's
and 50's.
I was first exposed to jazz when I was a preteen.
I met HB Barnum when I was nineteen.
The best show I ever attended was Donald Byrd and Ronnie Laws
The first jazz record I bought was Miles Davis "All Blue"
My advice to new listeners is to find within themselves what jazz means.
