My Jazz Story

I love jazz because I am a Berklee College of Music Graduate, jazz has always been my go to music. I attended on a Performance Scholarship and graduated in 1999.I was first exposed to jazz at a very young age, my parents only played, classical, jazz and gospel music in the home.I have met countless musicians over the years, and played with them too. What I love most about musicians is their desire to create. The best show I ever attended was: That is hard to say; I view each show as a new adventure, I truly have enjoyed them all. The first jazz record I bought was Wes Montgomery Boss Guitar. My advice to new listeners: Modern Jazz Today (modernjazztoday.com) plays a wide breadth of jazz from fusion to bop and beyond, my goal is to cover all styles of jazz to celebrate the diversity jazz has to offer.MJT is syndicated on 42 terrestrial stations, and 2 online stations in 3 countries.
