I love jazz because one of my early experiences in which I excelled in school was as a 14 year old in my high school stage band. I was first exposed to jazz I met Chic Corea backstage after a show at House of Blues in Orlando. The best show I ever attended was Pat Metheny trio, featuring Christian MvBride on bass, and Antonio Sanchez on drums The first jazz record I bought was Mercy Mercy, the Buddy Rich Big Band My advice to new listeners start with the Kind of Blue album by Miles Davis Or whatever else you have in mind.
