I love jazz because...Jazz gives freedom to explore and experiment. It's pretty much impossible for jazz to be boring for either the player or the listener. Suprises constantly await! I was first exposed to jazz...through Fusion music by Jeff Beck, Al Di Meola, and Spyro Gyra. I didn't hear other forms of the music - bebop, cool, etc. - until I went to Berklee College of Music. Then I heard it all! I met [musician name]... The best show I ever attended was... The first jazz record I bought was...I can't remember exactly, but it was probably something by Miles, Jaco, or Pat Metheny My advice to new listeners... Or whatever else you have in mind.
