About Me
I never tire of the Great American Songbook. It's a vast repertoire, and because of its improvisational nature, there's a plethora of interpretations. The complexity of jazz is equal to that in classical music, and can't be captured in three chords. It can be swinging or sultry, brassy or quiet. It hits every note. And it's America's gift to the world. I echo the mission of the American Songbook Preservation Society: “To preserve our cultural treasure known as the Great American Songbook by presenting this music to the public at home and abroad as Ambassadors of Song ... with the highest musical integrity and interpretation.” To the best of my ability, I will carry the torch of singers past!
