Jay Deshpande is a writer, musician, and educator from Boston, Massachusetts.

Jazz became a personal obsession for me when I first checked out Art Blakey's 1959 album, Three Blind Mice. I've played piano in a variety of ensembles and have toured South Africa. Right now I live in Paris, where I teach and write.
