Born and raised in Los Angeles, Jarez discovered his passion for music at a young age. He began playing the saxophone at the age of 10 and quickly fell in love with the instrument. Later, Jarez began performing with a variety of local artists. It was during this time that he met Grammy Award Winner rapper Coolio, with whom he would go on to perform for the next 25 years around the world. Jarez and Coolio's partnership began in 1998, at a time when hip-hop was rapidly gaining popularity. They quickly found that their unique blend of rap and jazz was a hit with audiences, and they began performing together regularly at some of the biggest venues in the world and eventually became Coolio’s official music manager. Jarez last CD was full of all-star guests and ultra funky goodness. Featured artists include Julian Vaughn, Vandell Andrew, Willie Bradley, Ragan Whiteside and Gerald Albright.
