About Me
My Jazz Story
Growing up in a very rural part of western Pennsylvania, I was incredibly lucky to be turned to
jazz at a young age. After studying jazz composition with Mike Tomaro and jazz trumpet
with Sean Jones at Duquesne University, I relocated to the Philadelphia area. In the past five
years, I've played in a number of projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic, and released "+17"
with the Zeropoint Big Band from State College, PA last summer, and "Modern Organ Trio"
with Ken Karsh and Shaun Chesley this year. When I'm not at the organ, playing flugelhorn, or
writing, I've got a parallel existence calling horse races (you know, "And . . . they're off!" That
guy).
