An English writer in Sweden

I have worked with music since 1999, first as a wannabe journalist at university, then as a real one, covering the local and international jazz scene in Barcelona, where I went to produce records and set up shows. I worked for Fresh Sound Records in Barcelona for five years on hundreds of CD productions. The label focussed on modern jazz recordings from the mid-1950s and contemporary jazz recordings - including the first releases by Robert Glaspar, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Brad Mehldau and others. I was as a Content Acquisition Consultant for eMusic, Communications Manager for mail order company Jazz Messengers, and helped set up the first AAJ Download Store back in 2006. Today, I work as a writer and editor in Stockholm, Sweden.
