I was first exposed to jazz... in 1968
I met [musician name]... Gato Barbieri
The best show I ever attended was... Too many to name. Stand outs? Miles in 1969 in Rome, Mingus in Italy (several different iterations), Gato in his early days, etc.
The first jazz record I bought was... Duke Ellington's 70th Birthday Concert (if memory serves)
My advice to new listeners... Listen!
