I am a cultural historian currently working on a first monograph with University of California Press on the history of drag performance in modern Britain, as well as a separate research project on the musician Little Richard.

Recent published work includes ‘Splinters: Cross-Dressing Ex-Servicemen on the Interwar Stage’, Twentieth Century British History 30:1 (2019).
