Isaiah Ceccarelli

About Me

I am involved in diverse musical projects including jazz ensembles, musique actuelle, improvisation, theatre groups and film music. Most recently I have performed with saxophonist Steve Lacy in Paris (France), vocalist Gailyn Addis in Tokyo (Japan), bassist John Paul Posadas Maramba in Lima (Peru) and in New York City with the Joshua Irving Quartet. In April 2004 I recorded a duo album with percussionist Miles Shrewsbery in Montreal, Quebec which featured legendary free drummer John Heward on several tracks.

I am currently writing my first theatre piece, working on publishing my texts and poems and distributing the first Isaiah Ceccarelli Ensemble album.

I have resided in Montreal, Quebec since November 2003.
