About Me
Helio Cunha is a versatile Brazilian/Canadian professional with expertise in audio engineering, music performance, and
production. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Popular Music and a Master's Degree in Music Performance, both from
Unicamp, the second University in Brazil and 220th from 1499 Universities in the QS World University Ranking in
2023. With nearly 20 years of experience since 2004, Helio has showcased his skills across various domains and scales
of music production. His work spans recording studios, churches, live concerts, TV shows, and corporate events. This
extensive experience has honed his abilities in managing diverse music projects and delivering high-quality audio
experiences across different platforms and settings.
As a musician, Helio has performed alongside great names in Brazilian music, such as Vinicius Dorin, Marcinho Eiras,
Bruno Migotto, Sidiel Vieira, João Alexandre, Agenor de Lorenzi, David Tanganelli Eduardo Belloni, Denis Tallasso,
Gustavo Spinola, Eddie Fernan, Rodrigo Belloni, Felipe Fidelis, Nelson Bomilcar, and many others. In Canada Helio
Cunha has recorded the albums Sounds of Brazil and Spinner Sessions with Angela Turone and Chris Platt, and is part of
Rodrigo Simões band, winner of the TU Jazz Band of the Year 2023.
Helios has been part of many successful recordings as a producer, audio engineer and musician. With Eduardo Belloni,
Helio Cunha has recorded Back to the Beginning, an album awarded by Akademia Music Award, Los Angeles, EUA as
The best Jazz Aalbum of 2016. With Gustavo Spinola the albums, Mares Rios, 15 de Abril, Retrato, and Canva.
In Canada, since 2018, Helio has been working actively as an audio engineer, musician, and music producer.
