I love jazz because of the artists' improvisational interpretation of a particular song. I was first exposed to jazz... I met [musician name]... The best show I ever attended was... The first jazz record I bought was... My advice to new listeners is listen to the melody and how the artist creates different approaches to the melody through improvisation. Or whatever else you have in mind.
