About Me

I started singing jazz for fun at the ripe old age of 46 in 2006 after taking lessons from a great piano player and vocal coach called George King. A few months after I started the lessons I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to stop for a while. After 7 months of treatment I decided that I did not want to work full time anymore so I started singing semi professionally around my local area & at festivals and arranged a few concert to raise money for cancer research uk. I absolutely love singing and hope to do it full time at some stage in the future. I have recorded a cd to benefit Cancer Research UK and you can listen to samples and buy it on my websites www.graceblackmusic.com and www.myspace.com. I have had concerts at Rothes Halls, Paisley Arts Centre, The Jazz Bar, Edinburgh, Fife Jazz Festival and Keswick Jazz Festival and help to run Fife Jazz Club
