Gilad Chatzav

About Me

Gilad is deeply passionate musician and composer .

His compositions range from Jazz to orchestral works and electronic music. His sensitivity and love of sound allows him to invite the listener into a musical world all its own. Gilad performs live, and composes film scores and music for theater.



Gilad's formal musical education began at age 11, when he was accepted to the Music Conservatorium in Tiberias. At age 14 Gilad left home to study at the music department of the prestigious Talma Yellin High School of the Arts. There he studied with top artists from around the world - and started to focus on Jazz. He wrote music for the school’s jazz department where he acted as the main performer. During his senior year Gilad was already composing and arranging music for Theatre and film. He then went on to study composition and jazz at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (JAMD) where he graduated with honors in 2006.



Gilad’s musical versatility allows him to enjoy playing in Rock, Pop, and Jazz bands all over Israel, as well as appearing on national television, at music festivals and cultural events.



Gilad Chazav’s first commercial album is to be recorded in Summer 2007
