I love jazz because...it's wildly original music, ever growing, searching. It's sassy and irrepressible. It's
vast.
I was first exposed to jazz as a child, listening to Miles and Ahmad growing up

My advice to new listeners...Dont treat jazz like other music where you do stuff while "listening." Jazz
demands that you listen wholeheartedly. Jazz in fact taught me how to really listen.
Jazz has gotten me through some very difficult times.
