I love jazz because to me its my form of norcotics, when I listen to it I am allowed to escape the existence of a sometimes confused environment, the melodies seem to flow through my veins providing stimulation to my heart, my brain, my soul.. I was first exposed to jazz in utero as a result of being born Iin New Orleans listening to The great Louis Armstrong. I met too many to name. The best show I ever attended was Lonnie L. Smith (concert by the sea) "watching the evening sunset, holding the one you love..." The first jazz record I bought was Gil Scott-Herion.
