My Jazz Story

I love jazz because... it's really such incredible music. What's not to love? I was first exposed to jazz...My dad used to have speakers in every room of the house and each morning he'd blast Oscar Peterson and Duke Ellington around the house to wake us all up. I met [musician name]...I've seen everyone - and met a lot of musicians too - Monte Alexander, George Benson and Al Jerreau (great story btw) and seen Oscar Peterson, Count Basie, Maynard Ferguson and so many - too many to list. The best show I ever attended was...The Gibson Jazz Festival in Denver Colorado is where I first saw Monte Alexander. The first jazz record I bought was...I hate to admit it but I don't think I can remember that far back! My advice to new listeners... Or whatever else you have in mind.
