With a versatile and unique style, he is equally adept in classical music, jazz, tango, rock and Latin American Rhythms. He has performed all around the world and in the United States at such venues as Lincoln Center, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and The Houston Opera Theater, among others While Messiez is the pianist for the show “Forever Tango” on Broadway and London (when it returns to the stage), he is also a composer and music director. He directs his own orchestra called Típica Messiez. He is the pianist for Underground Tango Ensemble, a tango quartet based in New York City, that has just released a new recording called “El Charrúa,” a Tango Tribute to the Music of Legendary Composer and Master Bandoneonist Raúl Jaurena. All the music on the album was composed by Jaurena. My Jazz Story

I love jazz because I love improvisation. I was first exposed to jazz early in my life because I started playing the piano at 4 and my first piano teacher loved jazz. He was a big fan of Oscar Peterson and we went to watch a concert together I’ll never forget.
