About Me
Saxophonist • Composer • Arranger • Tutor
My name is Egor — I am a jazz saxophonist, composer and arranger from the city of St. Petersburg, currently living in Amsterdam. I am playing saxophone since age of 7 (started with classical one, but switched to jazz at 16 years old). I am leading the All Colors of Jazz Union project — an international formation of new-generation jazz musicians which main goal is to preserve mainstream styles of jazz (as bebop, hard bop, post bop etc.), but they are also keen to experiment with them in different ways. With All Colors of Jazz Union, I have released four albums of original music: «Bird 2020» (2020) — in duo with Sungtaek Choo (South Korea), jazz pianist; «Vexillology», «Double Quintet» (2021); and «Without Rules» (2023) in cooperation with best jazzmen of St. Petersburg. Currently we are working on new album, which is to be recorded in Amsterdam and released under All Colors of Jazz label. Also I am giving lessons to people of any age and any skill (from zero skill to music high school admission exams preparation).
